This is the 7th Music Tour of America organised by John Howie & Travelrite, following very successful tours in 2000, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The tour is a comprehensive, high quality sightseeing tour of the United States, with nightly excursions to hear the best of American music. The itinerary includes many of America's most interesting cities: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Memphis, Branson and Nashville. The tour also visits beautiful spots, such as the lovely Las Vegas desert country, the grandeur of the old South (visiting Nottoway Plantation and the swamp country) and Lynchburg, Tennessee (visit to Jack Daniel's Distillery). There are many musical highlights. A feature of the tour is the visit to Nashville (4 nights), for the CMA Music Festival (Fan Fair), where tour group members see and meet the stars of country music. Other musical highlights include great jazz music in New Orleans, superb blues music in Memphis, the excellent Silver Dollar City theme park in Branson featuring live music and the opportunity to attend fabulous shows in Las Vegas. Cost of this 18 day tour of America from Sydney/Melbourne is A$8,545.00 (Australian dollars) per person, twin share (single supplement A$1,300.00), including airfares, airport taxes of A550.00 ex Sydney (as of May 15. 2008), accommodation, touring, admission to attractions, breakfast daily, and many other meals.
